Weston Ark Welcomes Matt Luft as New Centre Manager for the Hughenden Centre

The team at Weston Ark is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Luft as the new Centre Manager for the Hughenden Centre, starting in June 2025. This development follows the charity's founding in 2024 by supporters from Weston-super-Mare Foodbank, who acquired the former church hall to establish a base for community support in Weston-super-Mare.

Matt brings experience in practical maintenance, problem-solving, and hospitality, along with a caring approach suited to Weston Ark's goals of aiding those on low incomes and enabling Christian witness.

His plans include hosting community gatherings, partnering with local groups, developing a community café, and supporting volunteers to expand services like affordable meals and workshops.

The trustees welcome Matt and look forward to his contributions in making the centre a helpful community resource.
